About Us

Biz Whiz Business Training and Consultancy is a young company that specializes in providing quality, affordable training to corporations and individuals. It was founded by Estelle Osorio, a Political Science graduate of De La Salle University, and Ryan Ulysses Cruz, a Mechanical Engineer who also graduated from the same university. Both shared a passion for life-long learning, and an aspiration for entrepreneurship. Realizing that there was a lack of quality short courses on business at an affordable price, they decided to organize their own—inviting only top-notch speakers they themselves would love to learn from. Thus, Biz Whiz was born.

Ms. Susan Ople has decades of writing experience, being a regular columnist at Panorama Magazine and Tempo. She was once the Head of the Presidential Speechwriting Group of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and has also authored two books (“Paalis Ka Na Pala” and “Hugs Not Drugs”). Recently awarded the “Alumni of the Year 2010” by Harvard University, she is a well sought after speaker and public figure—and we are honored and proud to have her as part of the Biz Whiz Team.

Prof. Jay Penaflor has been with the equities markets for 7 years. As a Senior Market Education Specialist of the Philippine Stock Exchange and co-author of the book “Building Blocks of Building Wealth: A Primer on Stock Market Investing”, he has been invited to speak at over 200 seminars all over our country and even abroad. One of our personal idols, Dave Almarinez was able to build a multi-million corporation with only P50,000 and an unwavering belief in himself and his product. His determination paid off. In 2004, he was honored with the Asia Pacific Young Professional Award for Entrepreneurship and was nominated in 2005 as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines (TOYM). He is currently the CEO of Agel Enterprises Inc., and has recently been featured in Manila Bulletin, Philippine Star, and countless other magazines for his success.
